Content Marketing Intern/Associate
The Midst seeks a focused Content Marketing Intern/Associate (you can choose the title) to work approximately five hours per week, remotely. The Content Marketing Intern/Associate will help The Midst grow the brand and audience. You’ll learn about SEO and content marketing strategy on the job. We’re seeking someone who can commit to at least three months — the longer the better. We welcome candidates who wish to obtain college internship credit.
You’ll work closely with Amy Cuevas Schroeder, the founder of The Midst. Amy has extensive experience as a “contentpreneur” and has led content strategies for Etsy, Minted, and enterprise software companies. She founded her first business, Venus, in her college dorm room and later sold the business. She’s also written for Pitchfork, NYLON, Entrepreneur’s Handbook, and TechCrunch.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of WordPress (how to upload and format content)
- Working knowledge of Canva (how to upload photos and use templates)
- Ability to follow instructions and learn quickly
- Ability to meet deadlines and follow through
- Ability to do Internet research and use Google Docs
- Solid writing and copy editing skills
- Must have a computer and Internet connection
Bonus points if
- You’ve published your writing somewhere (we’d love to see samples; yes, Substacks count)
- You’ve built a social media following
Pay
$100 per month stipend to cover home/remote computing expenses. We pay at the end of each month via Zelle, Paypal, Venmo, or check.
